OUR PASTOR
Bishop Richard D. Prim, Sr. our Senior Pastor, graduated Summa cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Indiana Christian University in 1981. He was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel in 1982. He later earned his Masters Degree from Southern California School of Ministries in May of 1996, and then earned his Doctor of Ministries Degree from the same school in May 1998. He became pastor of Kansas City Community Church, formerly Freeman Avenue Church of God, in 1986.
Bishop Prim has served as Associate Pastor in charge of Administrative Affairs at the Devonridge Church of God, Indianapolis; Minister of Music for the First Church of God, Lenoir, N.C; and also worked with churches throughout the state of Texas. Pastor is also very active in the community serving on a number of boards and committees. And has received several awards and accommodations for his work.
He served the National Inspirational Youth Convention of the Church of God as Assistant Treasurer in 1986-1988 and as Treasurer in 1989-1991. He served as Vice President from 1991-1993. He was elected as President and served from 1994-1997. He served as the Presidential Advisor of this annual convention that has a following of over 6,000 African American youth through December 2001.
He was ordained as a Bishop in May 2007. He is married to Carolyn F. Prim, and has five children.


OUR FIRST LADY
Carolyn Prim is the First Lady of the Kansas City Community Church located in Kansas City, KS. She has been married to Bishop Richard D. Prim for 14 years and they have a smart, intelligent, daughter Rhema, 3 step children and 12 beautiful grandchildren.
Lady Prim has works in the Kansas City area training health Care providers on the latest update and information on HIV/AIDS awareness. She has now moved into a new career field working in Infectious Disease, where she ultimately hopes to become a patient advocate. Helping families make the right health decisions for their loved ones.
She loves the Lord and wants to be in the center of whatever the Lord is blessing.
She enjoys helping and empowering others to use their God given talent for the kingdom. Her favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
